Mount Aconcagua Ascent
November 15 to March 15
Mount Aconcagua is the maximum height of the American Continent, and the highest mountain outside Asia. With 6962 meters, its massif stands above the neighboring peaks in the Central Andes of Mendoza, Argentina. Mt Aconcagua is one of the “seven summits”, the biggest mountains of each continent.
The landscape and power of Aconcagua, along with its stories and legends, attract thousands of mountaineers each season. The North –or Normal- route of ascent is the most frecuented path to the summit. Although it is not a technical climb, the altitude and the High Mountain environment represent a challenge to both non-experienced and well seasoned mountaineers.
